HAYLEY TAPP, MA, LMHC

Hayley’s foundation for counseling is existential phenomenology which, loosely
translated, means that to find meaning one must look at the phenomenon of
living, and she weighs this with a straightforward approach. Her background in
music aids her in working with the
creative community, helping people achieve a
balance between their creativity and the choices they make. She implements
cognitive behavioral techniques (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) that can
alleviate suffering from emotions and offers this as both a group or in individual
therapy.
Hayley can also assist with
anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, impulsivity
issues, substance abuse, grief and loss, relationship issues,
and finding deeper
meaning
.

as one works towards a greater sense of authenticity and aliveness, significant
understanding and healing can occur by making contact with the unfolding,
here-and-now experience in the therapeutic relationship.  As a means of
accessing important material, her approach is informed and directed by the
mind-body connection. She is also influenced by cognitive-behavioral therapy,
transpersonal psychology, mindfulness and meditation, and Gestalt techniques
.
Her work as a
certified yoga instructor informs her therapeutic practice and may
be incorporated as appropriate.

depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues,
body-centered therapy, sexual abuse, and life transitions.
